"Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate" - Carl Jung

Therapy Room

The first step...

I know how daunting that first step feels. I’ve sat in that chair myself - feeling like I had to have all the 'right' words prepared just to justify why I was there.

I'm not expecting you to have the right words - not at all in fact. My job is to help you feel safe and comfortable to share what's on your mind, however messy or disjointed it may sound to you once it comes out, I will help you make sense of it and help you walk away feeling lighter. I'm not here to 'fix' you (because you're not broken!) I'm here to allow you the space to explore, talk freely and honestly and to go at your own pace.

Overall I work integratively, which means I blend different forms of therapy (mainly person centred, psychodynamic and CBT) together, depending on what feels most helpful for you. We'll shape our sessions around what you need in a way that fits your aims, personality and where you are in your life.

Perhaps you're struggling with:

  • Overthinking & self-criticism

  • People-pleasing & setting boundaries

  • Feeling emotionally disconnected or burnt-out

  • Internal loneliness despite 'looking fine' on the outside

  • Social anxiety and self-comparison

  • Low self-esteem and communicating your needs in a relationship

  • Feeling lost in who you are whilst navigating a life change (career, motherhood, friendships, loss, divorce etc)

If so, my relatable and calming approach helps individuals just like you to feel at ease, to get un-stuck, reconnect with yourself and find a sense of confidence and contentment.

If therapy is new to you, you may be wondering...

  • Is talking about it really going to help?

  • Is therapy for me even if I haven't been through anything "that bad"?

  • I think I already know what's wrong with me, how can therapy help me?

These are all valid questions. Questions I've asked myself too before I started on this journey. Let me start by assuring you, if you're expecting to come into a clinical white room and be sat opposite a lady with a notepad and pen analysing your every word - I'm afraid you're in the wrong place because that's not how I work.

Therapy with me is more like a warm hug - gentle conversation, sometimes emotional, sometimes messy but always with empathy and an unjudging face. I am known for my calming nature and this is how I help individuals feel grounded, accepted and understood - so that you don't have to hold it all together anymore or pretend to be someone or something that you don't truly feel.

Curious but still not sure it's for you?

That's okay. You don't need to have it all figured out. If you'd like to get a feel for whether I might be the right therapist for you and whether I could help you, let's book in a free 20 minute call - there's no obligation afterwards, I will just send you an email with my availability and you can decide whether or not to go ahead.

If we agree on a day and time to start sessions, know that you're not tied in to any amount of sessions - however if you did prefer to book a block of 4 or 6, that's absolutely fine too.

I offer in-person sessions in my cosy office in Ellesmere Port, as well as online and telephone sessions, so there are different options for you to choose depending on what works best for you.

My session fees for 2026 are £55 per 50 minute session - concessionary rates can be applied, please ask for more details.
